questions for PA residents...

If I live in NJ and do not currently have ANY ID for owning a gun, can I still buy a gun in PA without an ID or registration from NJ? The way it seems to be in NJ is it is a police state and in order to get what I want, they will put me through hell and back with more garbage than I care for... Is there any state I can drive through and get a gun without having an ID for legally owning one? Hell, once I own the thing it won't move from my safe till TSHTF... hopefully she will see more dust on her than ammo....

long guns, yes. handguns, no. ID still required, but you don't have to be a PA resident.
or you could buy through private sellers anywhere.
you can also get a PA non-resident carry permit for when you're there(PA) or anywhere a PA permit is recognized.

Short of not owning at all, that's about the worst thing you could do. Firearms have a learning curve, and after the fan is no time to start up it. Get a piece. Get it legally. Get practice. Learn what ammo works best for your piece and what doesn't. Learn to maintain it. Get familiar enough with it that you don't need to think to use it. Then get in the supplies to ensure that it's not going to become a paperweight anytime soon.

Where can I find private sellers?.... And when you say yes to long guns does that mean, Yes I can just go and buy a long gun in PA? or Yes I need a ID. thanks

Private sale,no id needed...if you go through a dealer you will have to show id...
. That is Federal law.

ID required, but it doesn't have to be PA ID for rifles and shotguns.
